Sorry I haven't posted in a while, but I'm sure I will be back on track.
I have recently entered a competition to design a winter wonderland with Minecraft, to win a £10 Amazon voucher.I ended up winning, which I was extremely proud of!
If you carry on reading this, at the bottom of the page will be a picture of my entry.
There were 20+ entries, of all brilliant designs. It was a Facebook competition on my mums account.
The winner was the entry with the most likes. I got 19 likes, but there was someone very close behind with 16 likes, to start off I was in second place, for about 2 hours, but then as more people posted I gradually got more likes and became in the lead, which I could not stop thinking about.
I designed my world on super-flat world. Some other entries had snow falling down, but I couldn't as I was building on super-flat world, which is just flat, no mountains no biomes, except a few villages. I had designed my own house and also a big snowman and a Christmas tree, but the item that had probably made me win was the flying sleigh.
Others had used a festive texture pack which you had to pay for which I haven't got.

Flooding rivers
Today I went for a walk with my mum, because my mum said her friend had been yesterday and all of the rivers had been flooded. So we went to see it for ourselves, it had not been as flooded as the picture had looked like, but it was still quite full (fuller than usual.) So we walked all the way round and looked at some wood carvings which looked terrific!!
When we were on our way back we saw that two chickens had escaped from its fence. We saw some very good houses too which looked like mansions.

Photography
I am interested in photography so my mum took me somewhere which is good for taking pictures of trees, lakes and animals.
I used my mum's Nikon d3100 camera and here is the result

Following on from my last post, I would like to give you the youtube link that I used.

I hope you can produce some good artwork from this video too.
My first experience of using acrylics was painting the Barcelona football badge. It was difficult, but I knew it would be, as it was my first time and I hadn't watched any tutorials. I wasn't aware about how much water I should use, and my mum hadn't bought the correct brushes! (thanks mum!)
I got all of the stuff from The Works shop, I bought canvases, brushes, sketching pencils (which I might upload a picture of my sketching's in the future) and a sketching book too. It also was a very good price. I also use my mums camera for picture's.

Hello, I'm Jake, I am 11 years old and have recently started being home educated and I have a keen interest in art and photography. I hope to share my artwork and photos with you in the future.
I didn't get a lot of time to do art at school, but I have done it for quite a while at home. I like using acrylics on canvas and I like pencil sketching. I like acrylics because you can blend different colours (which I am currently learning) my first acrylic painting I did was a tutorial from youtube which is currently teaching me how to blend colours together.
